Position: Installer

As a Sign Installer, you will work in unique and legendary venues throughout the US.   You will also work with high-end brands expecting the best of you.  You will support installations of architectural elements, signs, storefront systems, and much more.  

SPECIFIC DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Travel to/from installation locations throughout the U.S.
  • Install facades, signs and architectural elements 
  • Installation per blueprint requirements.
  • Assemble and disassemble components as needed.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate construction equipment such as cranes, lifts, excavators, etc.  
  • Complete concrete work as required per specifications. 
  • Welding of components to complete installation as needed.
  • Complete electrical wiring as required and authorized.
  • Vast understanding and the ability to use a large variety of power tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at various heights without fear.
  • Ability to run construction equipment.
  • Has the ability to understand and meet schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physically be able lift and move without restrictions.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Ability to perform installation within tight tolerances. 
  • Displaying and upholding professionalism always on a job site.
  • Upholding and exceeding OSHA standards. 
  • Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
  • High-level problem-solving skills along with adaptability.
  • CDL driver license (or ability to obtain one)
  • Ability to work out of town and stay overnight
  • Crane, construction equipment, and forklift experience desired
Position: Service Sale Executive

Job Summary:  

As the Service and Maintenance Sales Executive in your area, you will drive business growth for Mello Signs in a region full of business opportunities. Your mission is to build service and maintenance opportunities in the DFW regional area while developing maintenance solutions for signage, lighting, message centers and architectural elements.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads and developing service and maintenance agreements within the market. You will aggressively seek out new service and maintenance opportunities and manage the logistics of the final product resulting in complete client satisfaction and customer loyalty.

Duties and Expectations:

  • Generate leads and maintain a pipeline of opportunities with the DFW market
  • Identifies a scope of work that addresses and solves a customer’s need
  • You will drive the process from lead generation to proposal generation and finally to a signed and sold opportunity
  • Cultivate relationships with owners, contractors, property managers and developers to present and sell service/maintenance agreements of signs, electronic message centers, lighting and custom architectural elements; manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing. 
  • Maximize sales performance through strong relationships with clients and awareness of their needs
  • Conduct direct and insightful research of markets, competitors and opportunities
  • Acquire new customers through direct sales techniques, traditional prospecting, networking, pursuit of new projects, existing business relationships, and marketing visits 
  • Provide accurate and reliable sales forecasts 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Proven experience in service and maintenance or project sales experience, preferably within the sign and/or lighting industry.   
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from customers
  • Ability to define and solve problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Prior sign, service or maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Read and understand product schematics along with assembly instructions
  • Strong coaching expertise and knowledge of leadership development
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive scope of work that solves the customers’ needs
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently 
  • Documented, proven history of sales and exceeding quotas annually 
  • Top notch communication and presentation skills with service driven professionalism 
  • Technical proficiency in a variety of programs, including Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.
Position: Sign Fabricator

Position Summary:   

As a Sign Fabricator you will be responsible for following blueprints while welding aluminum and steel. You will also be responsible for picking materials, cutting and forming to meet client specifications.   As a Metal Fabricator at Mello Signs, you will manage your assigned projects from start to finish including electrical wiring of LED lighting as specified all while ensuring quality control standards are met while following safety guidelines.   

Essential Functions:

  • Weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per blueprint requirements.
  • Use shears, grinder, torch, press brake, or drill press as needed per job specifications.
  • Reading and understanding product schematics, along with assembly instructions.
  • Verifying dimensions and product specifications
  • In addition to any other duties assigned by the leader

Work Environment:

  • Work Conditions consist of a manufacturing plant environment with standing, bending, and twisting 90% of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Safety glasses and steel tipped work boots must always be worn.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work environments, such as cold and hot weather (depending on area)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stoop, crawl, walk, and stand for long periods at a time.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Certified Welding Certificate preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Fabrication – metal, wood, and/or plastic
  • Welding abilities in MIG, flux core, aluminum, TIG, and/or stick prefered
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good dexterity
  • Spectacular attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
Position: Sign Sales

Sign industry experience is highly desirable. 

Job Summary:             

We are looking for professionals with experience in signage and branding business-to-business sales.  This position will develop, or bring with them, new books of business, both within and outside of our current customer base by educating and showcasing how Mello Signs can support their business growth through a wide array of signage and branding elements.  

Duties and Expectations:

Inside Sales

  • Work closely with National Program Managers to identify inside sales opportunities, including franchisees programs
  • Pursue warm leads from National Accounts who do not have centralized buying processes
  • Close leads to exceed minimum sales goals
  • Build long term relationships with franchisee groups to generate repeat business
  • Execute the pre-estimate due diligence process:  code checks, design, subcontractor and freight quotes
  • Adhere to all corporate branding guidelines and bid submission processes
  • Prepare sales proposal for clients 

Outside Sales

  • Identify and develop potential sales leads
  • Close leads to exceed minimum sales goals
  • Assist and facilitate the submittal processes to quickly develop accurate proposals
  • Expand product and service offerings within existing customer accounts to increase sales and profitability
  • Present the full array of services Mello Signs can provide
  • Develop solutions to alleviate client concerns
  • Be an unbiased client advocate
  • Conduct quarterly client check-in
  • Bridge the gap between Sales, Project management, and the Customer

Education, Experience or Specific Skills: 

  • 3+ years of sign sales experience with demonstrated success in business-to-business selling desired.
  • Capable of working outside of the non-traditional work hours, as is common in sales.
  • Sign, media, or display experience
  • Robust ability to analyze options and problem solve the unexpected.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents required; mechanical aptitude is desired.
  • Capable of doing or learning site surveys and field measurements.
  • Sales-related training a plus.
